35mm FILM PHOTOGRAPH // shot in San Diego, CA
ABSTRACT SERIES. Reminiscent of modern abstract paintings, specifically Rothko, these 35mm film compositions are considered technical errors and most frequently thrown in the trash. They are the first or last pieces on a roll of negatives. They are the unexpected aberrations that come with the tangible nature of shooting film. For this series, these compositions are turned from horizontal to vertical and mimic abstract art on a canvas.
These images look best when printed BIG and placed in minimalist frames.
